Hurricane Sandy's going to hit New York City soon.

I'm rather impressed by all the precautions that NYC took with this storm. Last year, everybody braced themselves for Hurricane Irene, even though nothing happened except for some heavy rain. I'm glad that even though last year was a bit disappointing in terms of panic : disaster ratio, the city's still not risking anything this year.

It's kind of a pity, though, since power might be down these few days - and to think, I've had this blog for only a week! It would be a shame to go on a hiatus so quickly. But hey, at least the transit's going to be shut down. This means no school for me - and no school means all my exams are going to be held back!

Hopefully, our teachers won't throw a curveball and expect us to know things we didn't study because of the extension.

To all my fellow New Yorkers, I hope you all stay safe during the hurricane! If you must evacuate, I hope that at least you'll stay dry and healthy during these windy, rainy days. Here's to surviving Hurricane Sandy!
